Beyond THE bOOTH
Improv theatre, salsa dancing, writing poetry and spoken word – these are the things that keep me playful, nimble, and tuned to rhythm. They also make me unexpectedly good at timing comedy and turning on a dime emotionally.
I grew up singing, eventually racking up seven years of weekly lessons: choirs twice a week, monthly concerts as head alto – I spent all my time doing it because it was all I wanted to do!
I adored acting and once played the Queen of Hearts with great relish (heads were threatened, but thankfully audiences survived). As you can tell, performance has always been home.
Back when I was still in Bristol, a video editing company in the same building as my marketing job needed a VO. I said yes, recorded the script, the client loved it, and they paid me. That was the flicker that became a fire.
From there I invested heavily into my VO career, training with incredible industry mentors such as Tanya Rich, Nic Redman, Emily Jardine, Stéphane Cornicard, and producer Martin Fisher.
From there I built the booth and the rest is history!
